How does it work?
A practitioner specializing in Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is able to analyze factors contributing to aging based on the philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine. With the aid of this information, extremely thin, disposable needles are inserted at specific points on the face and other parts of the body to improve circulation and invigorate the facial area.
What are the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture can make you look 5-10 years younger. Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture works by helping to eliminate fine lines and soften deeper lines. It can also help minimize dark circles, puffy eyes, double chin, sagging skin, and drooping eyelids.
Other benefits include:
- Improved muscle tone
- Increased blood circulation and skin oxygenation
- Tightened pores
- Controlled acne
- Nourished, glowing, and younger-looking skin
- Minimization or elimination of fine lines
- Reduction of double chin
- Reduction of frown lines
- Lifting of sagging skin
- Reduction of puffy or droopy eyelids
- Increased collaged production
- Softened scars
- Leaves you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated
Can I have cosmetic acupuncture if I have had botox?
In most cases, it is acceptable to use cosmetic acupuncture to help maintain youthful-looking skin if you have had Botox injections.
Why choose cosmetic acupuncture over a face lift?
While not a replacement for surgery, Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an excellent alternative. It is far less expensive than cosmetic surgery and is safe, virtually painless, and has no side effects or risk of disfigurement (slight bruising can occasionally occur). This is unlike surgery, which may have an extended recovery period with swelling and discoloration. There is no trauma from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and if it does not suit you, it can be stopped with no ill effects.
What is the course of treatment?
The course of treatment is between 10-15 sessions. Ideally, these should be done 1-2 times per week for best results. Each individual will respond differently to the treatment, depending on their age and lifestyle. Visible results will be noticeable after 6 -7 sessions. Maintenance may be needed once every month.
Each treatment lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Do you offer micro-needling?
Yes. Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive cosmetic acupuncture treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Microneedling is an effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging and help the whole body look and feel younger.

Does it really work?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture has been performed for thousands of years in China. As early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD), Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture techniques were performed on the Empress for facial revitalization as well as overall health and longevity. Since this time, the use of acupuncture for cosmetic purposes has gained popularity worldwide.
Recent scientific studies investigating Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture have shown this to be an effective and safe modality. Research has demonstrated that Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture to be an effective therapy with marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects included: improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles, increased moisture content, improved skin appearance, leveling of wrinkles, increased facial circulation, and overall rejuvenation not confined to face [1,2,3,4].
