Can You Spot Your Spots?

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States and UV radiation from the sun and tanning booths is the most common cause of skin cancer. Because we live in the beautiful sun-drenched southwest, Arizona residents are often exposed to UV radiation on a daily basis year-round. 

The good news? Skin cancer can almost always be cured when found and treated early. Do you know how to check your skin for changes recognize possible skin cancer? The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends that everyone practice monthly head-to-toe self examination of their skin in order to find any new or changing lesions that might be cancerous or precancerous.
